Week 3! Another amazing week.

Hello students and parents! It was great having a chance to chat with so many of you (or chat AT you I should say) concerning our class and the curriculum. This week went by so quickly and so many exciting learning opportunities presented themselves.  We started off the week with our OREO challenge and it lead to a great lesson in Mode, Median and Mean. the only problem with the OREO challenge was what to do with the OREOs after... I know lets ... Eat... I mean create some art pieces with them and they turned out great!

We also were able to begin our scientific journey by focusing on "The Scientific Method" and how to set up and perform an experiment. We did our first experiment and we will be performing another one next week.

Math we worked on Place Value and begun solidifying our foundation in Number Sense.
Language we are working on both personal narratives and procedural writing through cross curricular work with science.

We will starting up our HW on Monday and it will be due on Friday. :) Make sure to make it not a scary or boring activity but a helpful one and one where the family can spend time together working on our class challenges.

I cannot wait for next week but let us all enjoy our Friday and the weekend first! Have a great weekend.
